Kaul Auditorium
Specs, Diagrams & Capacities | Audio/Visual Capabilities | Equipment
Kaul Auditorium provides a venue with first-class acoustics for music performances, lectures, and small theatre productions. Kaul is a state-of-the-art auditorium designed for multi-purpose use. As a theater, it can accommodate up to 756 people. It can also accommodate 280 at rounds for banquet seating. The stage offers space for performances, presentations, or a dance floor for evening activities. The auditorium features full sound and light systems, and is air conditioned.
The adjoining Gray Center Lounge serves as the lobby area for the auditorium, and can be used separately or in conjunction with the rental of the auditorium for receptions, pre-concert lectures, or other small functions. The dramatic architecture, comfortable furniture and fireplace, combined with art from our Cooley Gallery Art Collection, make the lounge an excellent venue for receptions and dinners. Lighting is versatile, and sound may be heard through our in-room sound system.
PLEASE NOTE: The West parking lot next to Kaul Auditorium will be under construction from October 2011 through August 2013. If you have an event scheduled in Kaul, please advise patrons to use Botsford Drive for pedestrian access. The East side of the parking lot will be unavailable for patron parking, but both the East and North lots will still be open and available. There is also an additional parking lot on the corner of 28th and Steele St. If you have questions about parking on campus for an event in Kaul, please call 503-777-7522.
